The cover anomaly.

But the thing that literally left me speechless – and I say this as someone who lives and spends money in Florence – are the prices.

While I was writing these texts, Uncle confided something to me that has remained impressed on me:

"I like people to come in here with the desire to eat, not with the fear of spending."

Today, just steps from the Duomo, a rare commodity. Uncle Gigi's is a popular place. It's always packed.
